1 Month Pregnant

1 Month Pregnant

Pregnancy is not always obvious, especially during the first month. In fact, many women don’t know they’re pregnant until the infamous symptoms start up. The most common indicator of pregnancy is a missed period, while other symptoms such as dizziness, nausea, sore breasts, fatigue, cramping and light spotting may also occur.

By using a calendar, you can calculate that you are 1 month pregnant if one month has passed since the start of you last period. The most fertile time of the menstrual cycle is in its middle, which for the majority of women is around the fourteenth day. Once the egg is fertilized by the sperm, it requires ten to fourteen days for the embryo to be implanted into the endometrial lining of the uterus. It is quite common for light bleeding to occur during implantation.

In the case that the bleeding is heavy, the woman should consult her gynaecologist. If she doesn’t know she is pregnant, heavy bleeding can be mistaken for her regular menstrual cycle.

The first month of pregnancy is an extremely eventful time! Mood swings are quite frequent in a 1 month pregnant woman. Hormones cause her to be very happy at times, while at others you may find her crying her heart out about trivial matters. The husband or partner is usually unable to understand why, despite his best intentions, he can never please her.

Patience is what is suggested, and all shall eventually pass. Apart from the mood swings, a 1 month pregnant woman may have nausea, or morning sickness. Favorite foods may now send her running to the restroom, while even the smallest bite of the mildest food may bring on queasiness.

A 1 month pregnant woman goes through many changes in her body. As the amniotic sack and the umbilical cord develop, the yolk sack protects and nourishes the growing fetus. Gradually the heart, lungs and spinal cord begin to take shape, and by the third week, the baby’s heart is pumping blood.

Often woman do not realize they are pregnant until well into the second month, despite the significant things happening to their body. This is common with women who have an irregular cycle or lighter menstrual blood flow. If a pregnancy is planned, women tend to know from the first moment, as they are on the look-out for pregnancy symptoms. If you are aware of what is going on in your body, being 1 month pregnant can be an exciting and unique time.
